Proceeds from the Hopeful Hog Festival go directly to supporting adoptive and foster families by helping cover essential expenses. Your participation not only showcases your BBQ skills, but also helps provide love, joy, and opportunity for children and families in need.

Waiver of Liability

The Pitmaster agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Hopeful Hog Festival, its committee, Village & Vessel, Benford Brewing, and their employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims made against them, including, without limitation, all costs, liabilities, judgments, expenses, damages, or reasonable attorney’s fees arising out of or in connection with: 1. Structures erected by the contestant(s), 2. Any apparatus, equipment, or personal property used by the contestant(s), 3. Any act or omission of the contestant(s), their agents, invitees, participants, representatives, employees, or assigns, and 4. Any claims made on account of or resulting from the contestant’s participation in the contest. The Pitmaster understands and agrees that neither The Hopeful Hog Festival, its committee, Village & Vessel, Benford Brewing, nor their employees, agents, or volunteers may be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with The Hopeful Hog Festival that may result in injury, harm, or damages to the Pitmaster, their agents, or their guests, whether invited or not. The Pitmaster further agrees that they, their agents, and their guests shall be responsible for any property damage or personal injury that may occur during their use of the premises provided by The Hopeful Hog Festival. I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of The Hopeful Hog Festival as outlined in the application and in official email communications to all accepted applicants. I further agree to notify all members of the team I represent about these rules.
